Dissertation style latex

LaTeX on Wikibooks has a Bibliography Management page. Every project you create has a secret link. Just send it to your co-authors, and they can review, comment and edit. Overleaf synchronizes changes from all authors, so everyone always has the latest version.

Remember to add in chapters/ before the file name so that LaTeX knows where to find it. We will now add in an appendix at the end of the document. To do this we use the appendix command to tell LaTeX that what follows are appendices. Again We'll write the appendix in a separate file and then input it.

Your thesis could be the longest and most complicated document you'll ever write, which is why it's such a good idea to use LaTeX instead of a common word processor. LaTeX makes tasks that are difficult and awkward in word processors, far simpler. When writing something like a thesis its worth splitting up the document into multiple.tex files.

Writing a thesis or dissertation in LaTeX can be challenging, but the end result is well worth it - nothing looks as good as a LaTeX-produced pdf, and for large documents it's a lot easier than fighting with formatting and cross-referencing in MS Word.
